Dancenjoy App Privacy Policy

Dancenjoy ("we", "us") runs Latin dance classes and socials in Western Massachusetts. This policy explains what the Dancenjoy app does and does not collect. The short version: there are no accounts, we don't ask for your name or email, and we don't sell or share your information.
What the app collects
Notification address (push token). If you allow notifications, your phone gives us a random address that lets us send you notifications through Apple's notification service. We store this address, together with your two choices ("New event announcements" and "Weekly schedule digest"), so we know whether to send you those. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or location.
Settings saved on your phone. Your reminder choices for each class or event stay on your phone. Class reminders are scheduled on your phone itself and never leave it.
What the app does not collect
- No name, email address, phone number or account.
- No location.
- No contacts, photos or microphone access.
- No advertising or tracking, and no analytics.
Calendar
If you tap Add to Calendar, the app opens your phone's own "Add Event" screen filled in with the event details. Nothing is added unless you tap Add, and we do not read your calendar.
Who handles the data
We use these services to run the app. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose:
- Supabase, which hosts our event information and the notification addresses described above.
- Expo, which delivers push notifications.
- Apple, whose notification service carries the notification to your phone.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your notification address until you turn off both notification options, delete the app, or ask us to remove it. If your phone stops accepting notifications, we remove its address automatically.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in the app's Notifications tab, or in your iPhone Settings.
- Delete the app to stop all notifications.
- Ask us to delete your notification address by emailing the address below. Because the address isn't linked to your name, please tell us roughly when you installed the app so we can help, or simply delete the app, which stops all messages.
Children
The app is a class and event schedule and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
